The Fundamentalist Meme Was Propagated by an Oil Millionaire

In 1909, "The Fundamentals A Testimony to the Truth," which is highly regarded as the foundation of the fundamentalist movement, was anonymously funded by Lyman Stewart, President of Union Oil and multi-multi-millionaire.

Create your own inferences. Have a good day.

So...

By some strange twist of fate, I'm sitting in a large movie theater, sipping on root beer and about to watch Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece.... The Shining.

Best day of my year.

My new positronic brain looks curiously like the monolith from 2001! Notice the little sufi and Buddha celebrating in the background. Lol

Weekend Road Trip - Eureka Springs (w/ Video)

This weekend, I woke up early on a Saturday - a rare thing. I decided on a whim to take a solo road trip to Eureka Springs, our little 'swiss village' in the Ozarks. This place has always attracted me to its magic. Creative energy seeps from every rock, crevice and shop window. Basin Park is always teeming with artistic minds. I would live there if I could afford to!

My impulsive little trip also was (hopefully) to include a visit with a friend, but she was not available, so I meandered around, snapping videos, smiling at tourists, and enjoying a few food items along the way. Late afternoon I indulged in a couple of Vodka Tonics, talked to some bikers, and simply relaxed.

Here's a little video I made to chronicle the journey. Enjoy :)

Truck stop condoms

Have never used a truck stop condom. The *raised spirals* do sound a bit exciting though.

Eureka road trip!

On my way 2 eureka springs, I discovered a little road side flea market. Picked up this guy for a dollar! You can put a light in him and his heart and finger will glow.

Rubbin his belly and patting his head. This alien is more coordinated than I have been lately. Lol

iPhone Chuckle

I was in the Apple store not long ago purchasing an adapter for my macbook. I happily walked past a line for iPhones that extended outside of the mall - and checked out immediately.

Now I kinda feel sorry for you folks, but not quite enough to stifle a laugh. I can't imagine paying $500 for a smartphone that doesn't even have cut/paste. Pfew. And then this....

MAJOR Security Flaw in iPhone 2.0.2

New Assimilation Commercial

I'm quite happy with this.
I spent a few hours cutting it last night. :)

Oil Thieves

Today's Headline: Exxon posts record $11.68 billion profit

These oil bastards have increased gas, energy and grocery bills by 100% over the past few years, and while they brag about their successes, I am wondering if I will be able to afford a simple dental procedure in September or take a much-needed weekend trip. Other people may have it worse off than me, but that doesn't give me any reason not to complain. I'm not humble when it comes to the government allowing the oil companies free reign to rape and pillage. I love my country, but I hate these people. They should be locked up with the rest of the thieves. And yet we continue to elect them. What the fuck?

Gurren Lagann on SFC

I'm an anime fan at times. I especially have a soft-spot for artsy, surreal, existential anime (Evagelion, Lain, RahXephon, Kino's Journey etc.)

Recently I watched fansubs of Gurren Lagann, a wonderful new series from Gainax (FLCL, Neon Genesis Evangelion). I just discovered that the Sci-Fi Channel is airing them (starting last night), so if you have cable or satellite and enjoy anime, I highly recommend this series. At times it seems a bit ridiculous and OTT, but ultimately the story will blow you away.
